Mission will build on its successful 14U National teams that it has fielded in the past three years with another 14U team that competes with the best teams in MN and the Midwest. This past summer we won the 14U Tier 1 Open State championship and a second 14U team placed second in Tier 2. We have a very strong set of players returning from our 13U national team and are looking for motivated and talented players to join them. They will be part of a club that provides the training resources needed to develop as a player and prepare themselves for the 16U level to follow. A competitive schedule with travel tournaments including the Colorado Sparkler will help the players set a new standard for themselves.

The team will be powered by experienced coaches, a training staff, our own facility and a culture built on positivity and challenging each player’s potential.

Team Needs

This team is seeking an additional strong pitching to join the talented staff with a goal of 3 main pitchers. Shortstop and middle infield as well as general utility players are a need. More details will be posted before Aug 1.

Tournament Schedule

The fall schedule will begin with the S&C Fall Showcase and end with the HFL Alliance Qualifier in St. Louis, MO. It will feature additional local and out of town tournaments to make the most of the fall. Final schedule will be posted before tryouts.

Coach Profiles

Alex Reak, Head Coach

Coach Alex has been coaching since 2022 and is a former D2 Collegiate softball player. Alex has coached at Marshall Area High School, Benilde St. Margaret and at Mission the past 4 years at the 16 and 18u levels. This will be Alex’s first year leading a ‘top’ team and is excited to build a successful team.

Alex graduated from SW Minnesota State with a degree in Sports Management with a minor in coaching.

Coaching Style: Holistic/Democratic/Community

Holistic coaching embraces the whole person recognizing that each athlete is a human first and a player second. Democratic coaching allows for freedom for athletes to voice their thoughts (drills what's working what's not), growth through failure and encourage athlete creativity (try new things/new drills). Community - we are in this together.

Coaching Philosophy:

I coach because I want to make a positive difference in the lives of my athletes. I want my athletes to be able to reach their full potential and grow as young women on and off the field. I will strive to create a positive environment that validates the self-worth of each player and continues to build the love for the game. My teams will be held to a higher standard and compete every day at practice and in games at the highest level of intensity. I will push you hard, but I will love you harder. My teams will respect all other teams, coaches and officials no matter the circumstance.
