OnDeck Tryouts

OnDeck Softball has put out their tryout schedule for this year and I want to share it.

For players who have a goal of playing Division 1 or Division 2, the OnDeck Softball system is a very worthwhile program.  Mike Perry recommended it to me and we have had some players participate. He mentioned that top coaches in the country value these rankings and seeing players at their events.

Here is some background.

OnDeck invites players to its tryouts and the players leave with metrics and rankings compared to the other players at the tryout.  They then select standouts from tryouts to come to Jamborees. There is a Jamboree in Colorado just before IDT for example, but they have others.  From there they invite some players to Elite Camps.  As you can imagine, Jamborees provide exposure to college coaches who know they will see top talent thanks to OnDeck and even more so at the Elite Camps.   Ellie Rydberg and Kyla Olson for example have been invited to Jamborees. 

The closest is in Chicago in May, but you can go to any. They recommend you go to one that is closest but it's really up to you. If you have more questions, please let me know or email mikeperry@missionfastpitch.com.

Our tournaments this Summer are opportunities for exposure. Your team will have recruit sheets at their dugouts including a QR code.

If your daughter plans to play in college at any level. I highly encourage you to get a SportsRecruits page and post info and videos!  This is really a must.  We will have roster pages at our dugouts this summer which will include a link to our Mission Sportsrecruits page. We offer them at cost which is $125 for the year.  If you are interested let me know.

Think of this Summer as the start of your daughters recruitment if that is her goal. If she is interested in Division 3, then figure that would start next year.
