Speed & Strength
Mission believes in building athletes. We know that stronger and faster players create more success and allows our players to change what their potential is. We integrate speed and strength work into our other training so you can accomplish multiple things with each trip to our facility.
Strength Training is available on Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays along with our hitting instruction.
This is led by Kelly Gavin. Kelly is a certified fitness professional. She is a fitness coach at Lifetime Fitness running both adult and youth group classes and has been working with Mission players for several years. Coach Kelly’s goal is to ensure every Mission player is knowledgeable and confident enough to go into a fitness center and feel comfortable lifting among others. She builds workouts that are specific to Fastpitch and had developed an amazing relationship with our players.
Speed work is integrated into our defensive training on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Focus on these nights is creating burst in our running, agility and proper running form. We may add additional nights or modify the training by including speed training specialists.
