All the Details

USA High Performance Identifier Postponed
Previously scheduled for this Sunday, I'll be working with USA Softball to find a new date and will report back. Those of you who didn't sign up would be able to again prior to that event. I'll send a reminder at the right time.

Winter Season Schedule
Following the Governor's executive order allowing youth sports to begin January 4th our Winter Season schedule appears to be in full swing. Plan to start our weekly schedule as provided previously that week. I may make one more revision and will send it to communicate the exact schedule and procedures. It appears the high school season will begin March 22nd. We'll practice right up to that. Some teams may look for a tournament to play prior to the school season. In the meantime, workouts with Kam will continue to be virtual. You can continue to use Mission for individual work.

Mission is an Easton Select Club

I have agreed to a partnership with Easton in which Mission will become an "Easton Select Club" and transition to using Easton equipment exclusively over time. The benefit to Mission is that we receive their products at wholesale pricing and Easton gets our business and branding that we will add to our website and facility.

I already love the Easton equipment. I highly recommend the Easton Ghost bats, I evaluated their helmets as the best as well as catcher's gear that we use already.

An example discount is we would receive $112.50 off of the Ghost Advanced bat and $87.50 off of their Ghost bat.

We will move to Easton gear for: Helmets, Bats, Gloves, Batting gloves, Bags, and fan apparel.

Mission will use Easton helmets (2 teams already do), catchers equipment (all do already), equipment bags (Mission will buy over next year or two). We will also likely be moving our fan apparel from Nike to Easton.
I will not require any family to replace equipment you already own.

I will not force a player from using a bat or glove they want to use.

Mission will be buying new helmets and bags as replacements over time.

I will ask you to buy Easton at the wholesale discount going forward for gloves, batting gloves and bats. You will receive a discount code to use on easton.com. If you have bought your daughter a non-Easton bat for Christmas - let me know and let's get you switched to Easton at a discount!

Please keep equipment organized in the storage area
If you are using the Mission equipment, please put it back exactly where you found it, or if you found it in an odd place please put it back in an organized fashion. For example I continue to find the bownets thrown on top of equipment on the floor when they should go standing up beside the shelf unit. Jaimie Keaveny has volunteered to help engineer a better storage plan back there sometime this Winter. Thank you!

Thank you for your help at Mission! (plus new opportunity)

I was so happy to see all the responses to folks willing to help with projects at Mission. The new "Challenge Your Potential." word mural looks incredible and every thing else was taken care of. Big thanks go out to:

  • Katy & Drew Sustacek for painting

  • Kyli & Chad Kullberg for painting

  • Emma & Shanna Coil for painting

  • Keith Hedrick & Buckey Mieras for painting and goofing off

  • Jaimie Keaveny for electrical work

  • Toni for the calendar updates

  • Jason Syverson for equipment inventory

  • Campuzanos, Brauns, McGuirks, & Wheatons for the Fridge Fund

  • Todd Stejskal for the new shelves in the closet

  • Jen Keaveny for work on our First Aid kits

  • Many others for volunteering to help secure fields and offering other things. I'll be following up with you soon.

The new opportunity is for someone to install a new door handle to the closet in the fitness room. It's a pain using the lock box so I bought a handle with an electric keypad. If someone wants to install it that would be great!

Summer Schedules are Coming Soon

We are working on a preliminary tournament schedule for each team. Expect something by early January.

Thank you for being part of Mission. We're about to enter a busy period. I encourage your players to take advantage of all of the Winter season training opportunities. It's the biggest portion of our costs at Mission and its their best chance to improve their skills, develop confidence and of course develop their relationships with teammates.

Please shoot me an email with any concerns you have that I am not aware of.
