Hitting

Mission’s entire facility is protected so you can hit free using the entire space, or use one of up to 6 hitting lanes. We leverage BPMax wiffle pitching machine, JUGS BP3 machine which throws fastballs, screws, curve, drop, rise and changeups as well as many other tools for hitting. Tien Ly is the Mission Hitting Director and plans a complete hitting development plan for the offseason. We leverage BLAST hitting sensors and PocketRadar to monitor swing analytics and exit velocity so players understand the impact of their swing. Mission members can come use the facility anytime it is open to get their own hitting in.

Pitching

We provide year-round pitching training for Mission pitchers at no additional cost. Pitchers typically receive an instruction night, a Pitching Lab night and also come pitch on their own each week.

Pitching Labs are a weekly session focused on building accuracy, speed and the right mental mindset. Run by Director Jeremy Gavin, it is a fast-paced program where pitchers work through several stations including some while competing with other fellow pitchers.

Pitching labs and private sessions with Jeremy integrate our Rapsodo pitch analysis tool, Super-slow-mo Insight Camera and your own online profile with access to your data and video. This data and video can be shared with your pitching coach to review prior to your next lesson.

Though Mission pitchers work with a variety of pitching coaches, our club pitching director is Whitney Johnson. Whitney is a full-time pitching professional and co-owner of Windup Fastpitch.

Catching

One of the most critical positions on the field requires individual attention in order to become great. Led by Nikki Caicedo, our group catching instruction will help you take leaps steps forward. Mission catchers are trained at no additional cost during our Winter season and the Summer season.

Throwing

The most important aspect of a competitive team is the ability to move the ball around in space. We have a dedicated night specifically to work on developing the right throwing motion and to build throwing speed. We pull a lot from Austin Wasserman and High Level Throwing. Our director Jeremy Gavin has completed the coaches course there and learns from high-end college coaches.

Fielding Instruction

We additionally rent time at the University of Minnesota’s softball training building to do full-field work as a club as well as additional dome time at southwest metro domes. Mission’s own 6,000 sq ft of turf gives us ample space to work on infield work, bunt coverage and getting the reps we need.

Speed & Strength Training

Building strength, speed and agility is essential to push yourself to a new potential. Mission’s official trainer is Kam Johnson, founder of KJFit Co. Kam works with all Mission teams and is also available for individual and group training along with assistance from personal trainers Madisen Borek and Kelly Gavin.
